The story of Thomas Allen Starnes began on August 8th, 1925. His parents, Perrie Covier (Starnes) and Thomas Floyd Starnes received him into this world in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He left us far too early on August 21st, 2018 in Suwanee, Georgia. He married the love of his life, Maryann, on June 28th, 1946 in Buffalo, NY. He was heartbroken to lose her on July 4th, 2005. Tom was a lover of hunting, helping fix things, serving others and in his later life, traveling in his car to visit family. He was a member of the Kenton Masonic Lodge #1186, a dedicated patriot, World War II Navy Veteran and loved to spend time at his Niece Pat's ranch. Tom loved his silly jokes, ice cream, a beer with some cheese and crackers and making pancakes for breakfast. His smile was always biggest when he was surrounded by family on his birthday. Tom had two sisters, Regina Louise and Anna Ruth, both of whom went before him. He loved them both dearly. Tom was the proud father of 4 children, Paulette (Fred), Connie, Janice and Will (Jeanette). Tom had his role extended from father to grandfather with the arrival of Rob (Stefanie), Jennifer, Cindy (Tim), Melissa (Matt), Morgan, Hunter and Joseph (Taylor). The family tree grew further under his watch with arrival of his great-grandchildren, Sandrine, Bram, Colton, John, Luke, Madelyn, Meridian and Evelyn. We all now have an empty place in our heart. You will be missed. Visitation for Tom will be at Level Creek Methodist Church in Suwanee, Georgia at 1pm on Saturday, September 1st.2018, followed by a service at 2pm and afterwards a reception. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made to the level Creek United Methodist Church or please consider a donation to the Shriners Hospital for Children https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/shc/donate.
