Thomas H. Rosenquist was born in Dubuque, Iowa on February 16, 1942, to Frank and Dorothy Rosenquist. He passed away on January 7, 2023, in Edmond, OK.
He graduated from the University of Dubuque with a degree in Biology in 1964. In 2000 he received the annual Professional Achievement Award from the University of Dubuque Alumni Foundation.
After receiving post graduate degrees and completing a postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Rosenquist began a long career excelling in both teaching and research. He spent 19 years at The Medical College of Georgia in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy. He then moved to the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he retired as Vice Chancellor for Research.
Tom is survived by his wife, Dianne; sons Frank Rosenquist (Annmarie), Gunnar Rosenquist (Sarah Aird), Kevin Eckard; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on February 3 at 11:00 AM at All Souls Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to The University of Nebraska Foundation, 1010 Lincoln Mall, Suite 300, Lincoln, NE 68508.
