Mr. Thomas Stuart Rochon, 90, of Chester, SC, died Friday, November 15, 2024, at his home. Mr. Rochon was born April 29, 1934, in Lansing, MI and was the son of the late William G. Rochon and Alice Mason Shellito. He attended the schools of Lansing, MI and was a graduate of Southern Bible College in Birmingham, AL. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean War. He retired as an automotive mechanic after over 42 years. Mr. Rochon was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school, was a great encourager, and helped with the youth of the church. Tom was also involved with Source of Light Mission in Madison, GA for several years after graduating from Bible College. His wife, Mary Krey Rochon, passed away on December 19, 2024. He is survived by five children: Tim Rochon (Jocelyn) of Key West, FL, Rachel Rochon of Chester, SC, Matthew Rochon (Christy) of Athens, GA, Louise Damianovic (Peter) of Jasper, GA, and Stuart Rochon of Chester, SC; grandson, Ian Rochon of Chester, SC; sister, Ann Shellito of Dewitt, MI and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, February 1, at 1:00p.m. in the Fork Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowman, GA. Berry Funeral Home & Crematory of Elberton, GA is respectfully in charge of arrangements for Mr. Thomas Stuart Rochon.
