Thomas P. Phelps, 54, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, after a short battle with neuroendocrine carcinoma.
Tom was born August 15, 1967, the youngest child of John and Rita Phelps. He graduated from Notre Dame High School and attended Morrisville College and LeMoyne College.
On October 26, 1996, Tom married the love of his life, Michelle A Manner at St Thomas Episcopal Church, Hamilton.
Tom worked at Ricoh for nearly 20 years before making a career move to Peraton and most recently, joining North Point Defense as a Sr Business Development Manager, a job he truly loved.
Tom was a devoted family man, always putting his family first. He loved to travel, especially to Anna Maria Island and the southern coast of Maine. Tom rarely turned down a chance to play golf, and loved to be on the course whether it was an early morning round with Smitty or his Monday night fire department league.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Michelle, and his cherished children Jacob and Abigail, his mother Rita Phelps, his siblings John and Wendy Phelps, Dan and Louise Phelps, Ellen and Frank Scharf, Ken and Chris Phelps, and Laura and Mike Crigger, his in laws Jim and Joan Manner, Natalie and Ed Tanza, and David and Nicole Manner. Tom leaves 18 adored nieces and nephews along with their spouses and families, and his best friends Nick and Lisa Pesola and their children Nicolas and Katerina, his brothers and sisters in the Maynard Fire Department especially "the cliquers" and many, many friends who loved him. Tom was predeceased by his father, John, in 2013.
`The family would like to thank Dr Sloan, Dr John, Dr Razia, and the staff at the SDMG infusion center, especially Charlene and Barbara, as well as Kristen, Karen and Cindy at Hospice and Palliative Care, his North Point Defense family, and especially our family at the Maynard Fire Dept, and Chief Jared Pearl for being in this fight with us every single day. We are humbled and grateful.
