Thomas Phares Morris, of Bachelors Hope Farm Centreville MD, died on July 10, 2024, after a brief illness at Shore Medical Center at Easton, MD. He was 81 years old. He was born August 6, 1942, in Easton, MD, the son of the late Phares and Marie Morris.
In 1958, following the sudden death of his father, Tommy took over running the family farm, which he still operated along with his son upon his death.
Tommy graduated from Centreville High School in 1960 and married Dolores Arlene Drake in 1961. They had one son, Thomas P. Morris, Jr.
For 28 years, Tommy worked for the Centreville Post Office as a rural mail carrier. He also spent many years as a member of the State of Maryland Property Taxes Assessment Appeals Board, eventually becoming the Chairman of the Board.
Tommy enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He loved his dogs and cats. His favorite place to be, was at home on the farm he loved.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Dolores (Lori) and his son, Tommy, Jr. (wife Libby).
