Thomas Liner, age 93 of Mountain (formerly of Brookfield), passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 with family by his side. Tom was born on June 12, 1929 to the late Francis and Kathleen (O'Connell) Liner in Milwaukee. He began his career at Huntzinger Construction as a laborer and later worked for Maier Construction as a house painter. On January 9, 1960, Tom married Pat Heinze at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. The couple lived in the Milwaukee and Brookfield area for most of their lives. In November 2021, the couple moved to Mountain. Tom loved spending time outdoors, fishing, deer hunting, and riding the lawnmower. He also enjoyed playing cards and sports. Baseball was Tom's special passion: first as a standout player at Wauwatosa High School, then as a coach, and finally as a long time Brewers fan.
Tom is survived by his wife, Pat; 2 sons, Kevin (Mary) and John (Mary Beth); grandson, Seth Liner; great-grandsons, Coleman and Liam; brother-in-law, Gerry Maier; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Heinze, Joanne Heinze, and Beverly Butzlaff. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Richard Pilsnik; sister, Judy Maier.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls from 11 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm. An Irish wake will follow the mass.
