Tom Kelsey passed away October 29, 2025 just a month shy of his 93rd birthday. Tom was finishing up the summer at his favorite place, his home on Squam Lake in Center Harbor, NH where he enjoyed hosting family and friends. After emergency surgery, he succumbed to post-operative complications. His three children were at his side. Tom was predeceased by his wife Liz of 61 years.

Squam Lake was a constant in Tom's life. He first visited as a baby and spent his childhood summer vacations with cousins on the lake. Tom introduced his young family to the lake bringing them to Rockywold-Deephaven Camps, where his grandparents vacationed a generation earlier. Eventually, Tom and Liz built their lake retirement home. Here they spent quality time with their eight grandchildren, with "Pop-Pop" taking them fishing and sharing stories. Tom was active on several boards including the Chocorua Island Chapel Association, Squam Lakes Conservation Society, and Squam Lakes Science Center.

Tom was a retired Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer of the Chubb Corporation, and past President of School, College & University Underwriters, Ltd, Bermuda. Tom was raised in Montclair, NJ, graduated from Burlingame High School in CA and from Dartmouth College. Tom and Liz raised their children in Chatham and then Summit, NJ. A man of great faith, Tom was active in and enjoyed the community of St. Paul's Church, Chatham NJ, Trinity Church, Meredith NH and Christ Church, Exeter NH . In retirement, Tom and Liz travelled often, spending winters in Naples, Florida and summers on Squam Lake. After fifty years in New Jersey, they moved to Riverwoods in Exeter, NH in 2010.
