Thomas Warrington Guthrie, April 13, 2021.
Tom was a farmer all his life starting at age 12 when he worked for a neighbor who farmed with 2 horses. He was paid $7.50 a week. Tom grew up in Kennett Square, PA. He grew mushrooms in 2 houses he built himself. In 2000 he retired to the Eastern Shore where he continued to farm.
Tom could fix just about anything, often making parts for his Model T's and A's, which was lifelong hobby. His greatest joy was flying his 1941 Myers OTW.
He served in the Delaware Air National Guard from 1965 - 1968.
Tom will be greatly missed by his many friends, his wife of 48 years, Deborah; their son, Roger (Buster) and rabbit, Broken Lyric.
Per his wishes services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Compass Regional Hospice, 160 Coursevall Dr. Centerville, MD. 21617 or for his love and care to his rabbit, to the Eastern Shore Rabbit Rescue and Education Center, 5718 Main St., PO Box 697, Rock Hall, MD 21661
