Thomas Edington
Help us celebrate Thomas! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Thomas.
Thomas Edington, 79, died at home under the care of Hospice and his family on August 19, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Bloomington, IN, to Agnes and Charles Edington.
Tom graduated from Solsberry High School, served in the Navy for four years, and returned to Bloomington to begin a long career with Indiana Bell, retiring from Lucent Technologies.
Tom enjoyed gardening, fishing, bird hunting, and cooking. He especially liked having breakfast with his "buddies" every morning for years at Rose's diner in Hendricksville where he caught up on the local happenings and "discussed" politics.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Vickie (Tabor), his
daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Bradley Sturgeon, his adored
granddaughter, Adele Sturgeon, as well as his sister and brother-in law, Mary Ann and Dave Williams. His fur babies will look for him everywhere.
He was preceded in death by a beloved daughter, Caitlin Edington, and his brother, John Edington.
At Tom's request, there will be no services. He will be interred at
Valhalla Memory Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
