Thomas Del "Tom" Burton, 59 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away December 10, 2024 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born November 9, 1965 in Columbus, Indiana. He was the son of Larry Dean and Ida Joyce (Costello) Burton.
He is survived by his parents of Edinburgh, Indiana, and siblings, Timothy Dean (Andrea Lyn) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, Deborah Denise (Timothy James) Grounds of Vine Grove, Kentucky, and Lisa Denell Smith (Douglas Lynn Cheek) of Flat Rock, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Caleb and Florence (Eleviate) Burton, and Charlie Porter and Brodie Mae (Ellis) Costello.
Tom was a 1985 graduate of Edinburgh High School.
He has worked in the office at BMG Music Center, a security officer, Costco, Builders Square, and the last place was at Sam's Club. He volunteered at the Amity Fire Department.
He enjoyed watching and collecting movies, model hearses, and ambulances.
He was a fabulous singer and sang at his friend's events. Tom's close friends are Stoney Sears, Randy Mitroff, and Ron Brown.
A Celebration Of Life will be conducted by Pastor Dan Chappelow at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
