On the morning of July 4th, 2021, Therese Jeanne Morin (Houle), passed from this earth into eternal rest after a long and fulfilled life at the age of 96. She was a lifelong resident of Nashua, a devout Roman Catholic, and leaves behind a loving and growing, immediate and extended family.
Born Therese Houle, she was predeceased by her parents Amedee and Florida (Bouchard) Houle, who raised 7 children: the oldest Gerard, Mildred, and (predeceased) Annette, Gloria, Rita and Amedee (Junior). She married Robert Joseph Morin (1917- 1993) in 1960, and together raised 9 children.
She had 6 boys in 6 years, Roland and wife Linda, Paul (1962-2014), Roger and wife Joan, Marc and wife Sonia, Richard, and David and wife Elizabeth. Three stepchildren, Robert (1941-2018), Susan and husband Roland, and Jackie Weigand. Together, they gave Therese 30 grandchildren and a continuing number of great grandchildren. She had many close and loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and an innumerable number of cherished friends.
Therese attended Nashua Catholic Schools and Nashua High School. She was a loyal employee at Doehla Greeting Cards in the 40's through 1960, until which time she assumed the role of devoted mother and family matriarch. A loving nurturer and overachiever, beaming with pride of her immediate and extended family, she always expressed immense interest in the current affairs and wellbeing of all her growing number of relatives.
She was also proud of her Franco-American Heritage, and residences in the neighborhoods of St. Louis Parish, south-end, and Crown Hill areas of the city. She frequently "held court" in her kitchen, welcomed and enjoyed the company of visitors (old and new), showed immense admiration for those who served in our armed forces; having 5 sons serve on active duty, and took great pleasure entertaining over the many holidays and holy days for close to a century. She touched many lives in many different circles, and will fondly be loved, cherished, and missed by all.
