Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 11, 1936 and passed away in his home, surrounded by family on November 10, 2018. Visitation will be held Tuesday November 13, 2018 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm followed by Services on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 2:00pm at Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview, TX.
Ted moved to Longview in 1954 to attend LeTourneau University where he graduated in 1958 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was drafted into the United States Army as a sharpshooter in 1960 where he proudly served his country for five years. His life forever changed May 4, 1963 when he married the love of his life. They expanded their family in 1965 with the birth of their twin girls Andrea and Allison, and completed their family in 1977 with the addition of their daughter Tasha.
His memory lives on through his three daughters, Andrea Hutchison and husband Ken, Allison Keoun and Tasha Roebuck; four grandchildren Amanda Patton and husband Matt, Lauren Polk and husband Taylor, Lainey and Sydney Roebuck and grandson Jeff Hutchison and wife Casey; great-grandchildren Sara-Catherine and Gunner Patton; niece Kathy Addison, a special friend, Brittany Lathrem, and a team of primary care providers, Allison Keoun, Michael Hart and Teri Watson, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Serafin and Ethel Gargantiel, brothers Ray and Fernando; and his bride, Pasty. Pallbearers will be David Keoun, Cory Fopay, Russell Johnson, Bill McBride, Adan Suarez, Raul Zapata, Tommy Diesi and Sean Landry. Carrying him in spirit is beloved friend, Thaddeus "Teddy" Manuel. Our family would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful staff and nurses of Heart to Heart Hospice. Special thanks to Aleshia Fatherree.
