Thelma Kelley Shriley, 90 of Rock Hall, passed away on April 22,2022 at Peak Healthcare.
Mrs. Shriley was born on October 6, 1931, daughter of the late Sterling and Marietta Baker Kelley. She was a lifelong resident of Rock Hall where she graduated from Rock Hall High School in 1949. Thelma married Frank Shriley on April 19, 1952 and started their family. She later worked as a cook and server for Shady Rest Hotel, for her sister Geraldine at John and Gerry's, Hubbard's Pier & Seafood and part time for Lamotte Chemical. Mrs. Shriley was a member of Rock Hall United Methodist Church where she enjoyed serving her church with meals and bazaars.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Frank Shriley and 8 siblings, Roy Kelley, Eileen Colvin, Margaret Weska, Geraldine Dierker, Betty Colgan, Irving Kelley, Preston Kelley and Alma (Snookie) Boulter.
Mrs. Shriley is survived by her children, Barbara A. Edwards (Douglas) and Charles Shriley (Kathy) of Rock Hall; a sister Audrey Tabilio of South Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Christina Dill (David) and Frank Shriley (Lumel) and 2 great grandchildren Kaylana and Ethan Shriley. Numerous nieces and nephews and was particularly close to Nancy Miller, Dorothy Hepbron, Sharon Hines, Jeanie Geibel & Jay Jacobs.
Mrs. Shriley loved all things Rock Hall. She looked forward to participating in the R. H. New Year's Eve Hat parade yearly and going to the Mainstay. She loved her family, cooking, flowers and socializing.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7th at 11:00 am at Rock Hall United Methodist Church, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Rock Hall United Methodist Church or Rock Hall V.F.C.
