Thaddeus Robert Zajdowicz, "Bob", 82, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Leslyn F. (Herb) Zajdowicz. They were married on June 15, 1968 and celebrated fifty-four years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Thaddeus W. and Ellen (Weller) Zajdowicz. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Exeter High School. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. Bob was employed by the former Polymer Corporation and the former Technical Powder Coatings for a combined twenty years. He was last employed by Cabot Corporation, Boyertown, as a Mill Supervisor until his retirement in 1996. Bob was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale. He was a lifetime trap shooter and was an active member and former officer of the Pricetown Rod and Gun Club; and a member of the Fleetwood Fish and Game Association. Bob was a sportsman for his entire life, enjoying all types of hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA. Golf, woodworking and gardening were hobbies as well. An avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies, he and his wife would go to Spring Training every year. Bob loved traveling with his wife to many U.S. and foreign destinations and did extensive traveling over his lifetime. Their favorite destination was Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, where they so enjoyed beaching and biking for more than fifty years. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters: Frances (Zajdowicz) Vogt, wife of Barry Vogt, Mount Penn; and Sue Ellen (Zajdowicz) Rutter, wife of John Rutter, Exeter Twp.; two nephews; a niece; and several cousins. Services will be held at Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 E. Bellevue Avenue, Laureldale, PA 19605 on Thursday at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Laureldale Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the church Thursday 9:00 to 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Rosedale U.C.C., at the above address.
