Terry Howard Lashbrook, 77, passed peacefully into Heaven on the 2nd of January 2024 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side.
Terry was born November 15, 1946, in Galesburg, Illinois. He graduated from Galesburg Senior High in 1965. He was in the United States Army with most of his service spent in Alaska. He cherished his time in Alaska. Following the Army, he worked in a factory in Galesburg until 1982, at which time, he and his family moved to Texas. There, he was employed with FedEx until his retirement in 2009. Terry loved his job and took great pride in his work. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing, people watching and westerns. He liked to sit on the bench on his front porch and watch people go by. He adored the ocean and watching the waves. Terry also loved the Texans and enjoyed watching the games with his daughter. But the greatest source of joy was from his love of his family and his faith.
Terry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Chris Lashbrook; his daughter, Lori Grierson and husband, David; daughter Annette Harvey; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
His life in its entirety was characterized by hard work, devotion, duty, and integrity. He exhibited boundless generosity, always with humility. Terry had a wonderful sense of humor and always wanted to put a smile on your face. He was an amazing husband and father, and we will miss him terribly.
Friends are cordially invited to a Memorial gathering at two o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 8th of January at the Clubhouse, 15211 Scenic Woodland Drive, Conroe, Texas, 77384.
