Terri Lee Ratner, 67, of Myrtle Beach, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with her loving husband by her side.
Terri was born on February 15, 1957, in Sharon, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Andy Zimlinghaus and Anne Newman Zimlinghaus. In addition to her parents, Terri was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Zimlinghaus.
In life, Terri worked as an Occupational Therapist. She began her career working for the State of New York, first as a Therapy Aide, then later as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant), and finally as a successful Occupational Therapist. She was passionate about helping others and was extremely motivated to succeed in life. As an OT, she was instrumental in helping many people to achieve their potential abilities and successfully navigate their lives. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her.
In her leisure time, Terri loved spending time with her family and her fur-babies. She enjoyed the ocean and the beach, loved hummingbirds and tending to her plants and beautiful flowers. Her greatest gifts to her family and to the world were her unconditional love, loyalty, and friendship. Above all else, Terri was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Terri is survived by her loving family, including her devoted husband of 13 years, Mark Ratner, her son Andrew Watson, her sister Tracy Zimlinghaus, as well as countless friends and other extended family members, all who will forever cherish her memory.
A memorial service to honor Terri will be held at a later date, to be announced by the family.
