Terrance (Terry) Gale Dunigan passed away on Thursday, August 26th, 2021, at the age of 76 in Clover, South Carolina.
Terry was born in Ionia, MI, on February 24th, 1945, son of the late Gerry and Navene Dunigan and brother of the late Roger Dunigan, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Dunigan, of nearly 50 years; his son Casey Dunigan and daughter-in-law Paige; and his cherished granddaughter Claire, who embodies his love of life and laughter. Terry is also survived by his loving sisters Patricia Purtill, Konnie O'Keeffe, and Chris Pool, along with nieces and nephews who all meant the world to him.
As a spirited, fun-loving child, Terry took turns getting himself into mischievous scrapes and creating fond memories with his siblings. He graduated from SS Peter and Paul Academy in 1962 then went on to serve in US Air Force, where he was stationed in Malta. Malta was a special place to Terry and would often regale those sitting around him about his adventures there. After the Airforce, Terry returned to Michigan, where he graduated from Michigan State?while attending school met his wife, Mary, where they both worked together at Montgomery Ward. From there, Terry went on to become a consummate telecom salesman, manager, mentor, and entrepreneur. Terry and Mary lived in Lansing, MI, Rochester, NY, Brandon, FL, Charlotte, NC, and Lake Wylie, SC, and together they made lasting friendships in each place.
Terry had a big heart and larger than life presence. His family and friends adored him, who now profoundly grieve the loss of the luminous spark he created in the world.
A Memorial Service for Terry Dunigan will be held at a future date along with a Celebration of Life. He was a man of unwavering faith, and as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic Church in Lake Wylie, SC, where he was a member for many years.
