Teresa Marie Gillette (Tea), 51, wife of Keith Gillette of Vernon Center, passed away at home with her family by her side on April 22, 2022.
Teresa was born in Syracuse, NY on January 21, 1971, to Eileen and Leon Ryder. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1989. In 1990, she proudly enlisted in the United States Army where she received basic training. She then attended Morrisville College and received a business degree.
Teresa had a successful online antique jewelry and collectibles business called J Lansdowne for 30 years, which was the praise of all her customers. Her attention to detail was beyond all others. She loved art, antiques, and jewelry. Everything was tea cups and linen.
Coffee with her husband made all things special. She enjoyed being in her garden and sitting on her porch with her husband, watching the birds. Teresa and her husband built their home together. It was back-breaking, hard work, but they did it. She had a profound love for animals and was an advocate for animal rescue.
She is survived by her husband, Keith, and her cats, whom she loved as much as any mother would love her child. She is also survived by several siblings, including Arnold Ryder (Virginia), Ashley Susko (Tom), Jim Ryder (Laura), Kathy Hayes, Jerry Ryder (Emma), Julie Wegryznowski (Robert), Ken Ryder (Debbie), Trish Holley (Kevin), Eileen Turner, Michael and his close companion, Pete, and Paul (Mandie); and several nieces and nephews . She is predeceased by her parents, Leon and Eileen Ryder.
