Tammy Marie Singletary, 60, of Beaumont, died Saturday, January 30, 2021. She was born on August 28, 1960, in Beaumont, to Lou Ann Cornett and Robert Cornett.
One of Tammy's first loves as a child was music. Tammy found musical talent at an early age. She practiced piano as a child and eventually played the violin in her high school orchestra. She has since, always found comfort in music.
When she met her husband James in 1983, the two began to build their life together. They honeymooned in Acapulco and have ever since always found themselves near the beach or lake in their off time.
She also took so much pride working for Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital as a pharmacy technician II where she was an important member of the pharmacy team during her tenure of 20 years.
Tammy found her ultimate calling in life when she became a mother in 1988. She devoted every fiber of herself to her family. She somehow always balanced her busy work schedule, with being a wife to a police officer, while also being the mom who always showed up. She never missed a game her daughter cheered at or any school event that her daughter was involved. Three years ago, she was able to reawaken her nurturing spirit when she was given a grandson. Gigi became her new name and she was once again the (grand) mom who always showed up.
Gigi was beautiful, inside and out. She had a quiet and charming way about her. She would give benefit of the doubt to anyone who would ask. She loved her family and was forever loyal to the people she loved.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Singletary; daughter, Hallie Gates and her husband, Travis, of Kountze; brother, Daniel Cornett and his wife, Janice, of Vidor; and grandchild, Wyatt Justice Gates of Kountze.
