Sylvia Jean Hughes Ulander, formerly of Zionsville, Indiana, passed away on April 15, 2020, at Robin Run Village of Indianapolis. Jean was born on July 17, 1929, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Vicroy Lee and Nellie Mae (Reynolds) Hughes, they predecease her. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vicroy Lee Hughes Jr.; sister, Marjorie Mae Bradley; husband, Richard; and son, Michael. She is survived by her children: Richard Jr., Jim (Sharon), Beverly (Ron); grandchildren: Asheley Ulander, Jessica Hockman, Stefani Ulander, Jimmy Ulander, Jefferey Ulander, Brandon Knight, Megan Day, and Shelby Day; great-grandchildren: Kalei and Jenna Hockman, Corbin and Devin Ulander, and Avery Shepherd. Private graveside services were Monday, April 20, at Zionsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a cause dear to your heart.
