After a lengthy battle with health complications, Sylvia Irene Pearce peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 4th, 2021. God called her home while surrounded by her loving husband Jerry and her children Glen and Sharon along with other family members by her side.
Sylvia was born on December 27th, 1944 to Raymond & Mary Ruth Eudaily in Pecos, Texas. She moved to Midland, Texas at the age of 2 years old. In 1968 she met the love of her life Jerry Pearce. They were married on March 1st, 1969 and God blessed them with 52 wonderful years of marriage.
Sylvia had many interests and talents, first and foremost was taking care of and looking after her family. She was the glue and the foundation that held the Pearce family together. She was always interested in listening to anything her family wanted to talk about. She was the best listener and always gave the best advice. One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming a registered nurse at the age of 51.
Sylvia was an active member of her church in many ways, including being a Sunday school teacher and many women's groups with a serving heart. Her many hobbies included bowling, baking, hosting parties, sewing, leading Girl Scouts, cake baking and providing meals to families in need. Sylvia was a steadfast supporter of her husbands many adventurous escapades, including motorcycle riding, snow skiing and of course golf. After retirement, Jerry and Sylvia enjoyed traveling with their dear friends, taking multiple cruises and camping trips. They traveled coast to coast from Williamsburg Virginia to the Redwood Forest of California.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents Raymond & Mary Ruth Eudaily and her brother Danny. Sylvia's life will be forever be cherished by her loving husband Jerry, son Glen and his wife Wendy, daughter Sharon and her husband Luke; grandchildren Kyle, Brooke, Keith, Cameron (wife Anna), Austin and Ashleigh; great grandchildren Stella and Beck.
The Pearce family would like to thank Interim Healthcare Hospice for their support and compassion during this time.
