Sylvia (Monico) Imperator, 91, passed into the Glory of God's Kingdom on Friday July 1, 2022, with her family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and member of St. Anthony's Church. Sylvia parted from the love of her life, the late Peter Imperator in 2014 and it gives the family great joy to know they are together in eternal life. They were married in 1953 after meeting each other at the age of twelve. In her early years, Sylvia attended Hilliard College and worked for New Departure prior to starting a family in 1958. Later, she worked as a Health Aide for the Bristol Schools until retiring in 1995. Sylvia is survived by her loving and devoted daughters and son-in-law Patricia and Edward Spyros and Mary Ellen Angst. She also leaves her four precious grandsons Brian Spyros and his wife Cera; Joseph Spyros and his partner Kevin Ranno; Michael Spyros and his fianc? Brooke Louis and Alexander Angst and his wife Milad. Sylvia was blessed to see the births of three cherished great-grandchildren, Maverick and Audrey Spyros and Christian Angst. Sylvia also leaves behind her faithful and attentive sister Joan Monico as well as several nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, Sylvia was blessed in so many ways, but nothing gratified her more than her family. Predeceasing her are her parents, Pauline (Vanoni) and Frank Monico Sr.; her brother Frank Monico Jr., her sister Virginia Morrone, and her son-in-law, Gary Angst. A funeral mass will be held on July 7, 2022 at 11:30am at St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9-11am at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol.
