Sylvia "Diane" Dwyer, 81, of Brunswick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Knoxville, MD, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 5, 1940, in Brunswick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee Day and Mary Evelyn (Buffington) Day.
Diane attended Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD.
Diane worked as a bus driver for the Scott Key Center.
The parents of four of their own children as well as countless foster children, Diane and Edwin Dwyer were Named Frederick County's and Maryland's Most Beautiful Parents in 1991.
She is survived by her daughters; Evelyn (Johnny) Holmes, June (Richie) Burns, Elva (Bill) Gilbert and son; Harry (Tammy) Dwyer, grandchildren; Rachel Holmes, Chase Holmes, Christine (Patrick) Carroll, Tiffany Anders, Lila Harkins, Angela (Evan) Foust, Aaron Gilbert and Casey Gilbert great-grandchildren; Chandler Carroll, Cameron Carroll, Maleah Albright, Ella Foust, Brynlee Foust, Summer Foust, and Jewel Foust. She is also survived by Jessica Loy and children, and Coreena McAllister and her fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Edwin Markham Dwyer, her daughter Tonya Laine, and brother Gerald Lee Day.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick, MD, 21716.
A celebration of Diane's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knoxville Reformed Cemetery following services.
