Suzanne "Sue" Edith Labrecque, 85, Of Bristol CT, widow of Jean Louis Labrecque, passed away peacefully at home with family on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Born in Courcelles, Quebec, Canada on May 8, 1937, she was the oldest daughter of 8 children, to the late Damien Gosselin and Rose-Helene (Labrecque) Gosselin of Courcelles, Quebec, CA. Sue and Jean Louis were married in 1961. They decided to move to Connecticut to start their family and so Jean could find work. Sue made housekeeping and being a mom look easy. Her cooking and baking were always family essentials for every occasion. If there is anything Sue left behind to anyone, it's the memory of her warm hugs, her amazing food, and her beautiful, welcoming smile. She will always be remembered, and she definitely made her mark on this world. Sue leaves behind her daughters, Jos?e Calzada and Helene Labrecque (Jean Denis Grimard); Six grandchildren Marie Torres (Omar Torres), Remy Calzada (Katie Wright), Samuel Grimard, Melinda Grimard, Sabrina Grimard (Jacob Martin), and Fabien Grimard (Jessica Hotte), and her three great grandchildren Luna, Mia and Raul Torres. She is predeceased by her husband Jean Louis Labrecque, her sons Luison and Guy Labrecque, and her son-in-law Jorge Calzada Castro. A funeral mass will be held November 4, 2022, at 10 AM at Saint Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
