Susan Ann (Rowe) Boyett, age 67, of White Oak, Texas passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Susan was born August 29th, 1954 in Beaumont, Texas to Dorothy Lee Lopez and Reginald Willie Rowe. Susan was a 1972 Carthage High school graduate and enjoyed riding her horses during her childhood growing up. Later, Susan moved to White Oak, where she had resided for over thirty years. Susan was an incredible mother, and was promoted to grandmother in 2001 with the birth of her first grandchild, Luke Weathers. Susan would go on to be the grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren to dote on and spoil rotten! Along with her time with grandchildren, Susan enjoyed traveling, especially to Crystal Beach where she spent many years enjoying family and friends by the ocean shore. Susan enjoyed how the beach could make your worries seem small, and your dreams seem as vast as the ocean itself. Susan was married to Joe Free for 23 years, and they spent many fun times and made hundreds of memories together. Nothing brought more joy to Susan than being surrounded by family.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Lopez and Reginald Rowe, as well as siblings David Monk, Harry Doyle Monk, and Robin Louise Rowe. A son, Joey Free, preceded her in death in December of 2021. Susan leaves behind her loving husband, Joe Free, daughters, Lindsey Boyett and spouse, Rodney smith II, Dana Lee Weathers and spouse Jeffery, and son Nicholas Free and fianc? Carey Hight. Additionally, Susan leaves behind amazing grandchildren, Luke Weathers, Harrison Weathers, Brody Smith, and Sofia Smith. Susan also leaves behind a host of other cousins, a nephew, Alex Downing, and additional family and friends.
Joe, Lindsey, Dana, and Nick would like to thank the staff of Baylor Scott and White for taking the upmost care of Susan during her final days.
