Susan Marie Mentrikoski, 66, of Plains Twp., passed away suddenly in her home Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 18, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Clementine Petro Mentrikoski.
She was a graduate of Hanover High School, Class of 1974. She was employed for 35 years in the medical laboratory at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Susan prioritized her role as a mother above all and preferred a simple life, always knowing that the little things mattered most. She enjoyed reading, traveling and watching true crime television shows.
She looked forward to hosting family holidays and baking her infamous "Snowball" Christmas cookies, so often requested by friends and family that eventually she came to wish they weren't so delicious.
Susan enjoyed Sunday mornings with her grandson, Ezra, and blowing bubbles on the patio with granddaughters, Charlie and Sloane.
She was preceded in death by her former husband and father to her children, Dominic A. Condusta Sr., in 2007.
Surviving are her loving sons, Dominic A. Condusta Jr. and his wife, Danielle, Forty Fort; Dennis Condusta and his wife, Arielle, Plains Twp.; grandchildren, Charlie, Ezra and Sloane Condusta; brothers, Frank Mentrikoski and his wife, Paula, Drums; John Mentrikoski and his wife, Patti, Mountain Top; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Private interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Susan's name to the Robinson Counseling Center, Attn: Mike Hopkins, 324 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
