HOMER, Susan Harriet (Suzy), age 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Savannah, GA on June 11, 2024. Suzy was born in Boston, MA, on October 21, 1949, to Adelaide (Irwin) and Richard William Homer. Suzy was predeceased by her mother and father of Tequesta, FL and Kennebunk Beach, ME and her niece Avery Miller Johnson of Portland, ME. She is survived by her two sisters Deborah Homer Wilkins of ME, Patricia Jayne Homer, Savannah, GA, and nephew Turner Christopher Johnson, Boothbay Harbor, ME. Suzy grew up in Wellesley, MA, and attended Dana Hall School and Wellesley High School. She graduated with an associate's degree in child development from Garland Junior College, Boston, MA, and a bachelor's degree in business from Boston University, Boston, MA. Suzy was in banking for more than 30 years both in Boston, MA and Palm Beach, FL. She then retired from banking to care for both of her parents prior to their passing. In 2018, Suzy and her sister started a Bed and Breakfast in Savannah, GA where it continues to grow and flourish. It was during this time that Suzy shared her passion for home design and d?cor, floral arranging, and graciously created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Suzy was strong-willed with an enormous heart She will always be remembered for her tenacity, generosity, and loyalty. To honor Suzy's wishes there will be a private service held in Kennebunk Beach, ME, later this summer where she spent many summer months with her family and cousins. I invite you to celebrate Suzy's memory privately and in your own way. I know she will be with us all in spirit.
