Funeral services for Sue Moore, 83, of Diboll, will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Brother David Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery in Lufkin.
Mrs. Moore was born on February 20, 1941, in Saratoga, Texas, to the late William Henry Church and Lena Reeves Church, and died Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Diboll.
She was a great mother and wonderful cook. She retired from EL Chico after 25 years. Mrs. Moore was everyone's favorite waitress where she was known as "Mama Sue". She enjoyed spending time with her cats.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Arthur Jones of Diboll; son, Bobby Moore of Lufkin; son-in-law, John Stephens of Nacogdoches; granddaughter, Sarah Moore of Lufkin; granddaughter, Susan Moore of OK; grandson and wife, Stephen and Tammy Eiseman of OH; grandson, Jason Eiseman of OH; granddaughter and husband, Brandi and Dan Irish of Pittston, ME; granddaughter and husband, Tara and Joe Cole of Diboll; grandson, Spencer Hale of TN; great-grandchildren, Henry Moore, Cody Rackliff, Scarlett Irish, Mason Cole, Paxton Cole, Sutton Cole, Hailey Eiseman, Steven Eiseman, Kierra Eiseman , Stephanie Eiseman, Shane Eiseman, Mercedes Berger, and Jaylyn Berger; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Cathie Church of Huntington; sister Betty Phillips of Georgetown, TX; nieces, Kim Faulkner, Ellen Harris, Melanie Baker, and Felicia Brown; nephews, Mark Church, Billy and Joe Wayne Church; best friend, Marvia Palmer of Lufkin; special friend, Jeanette Barnes of Zavalla; and special friend, Kathy Fandry of Lufkin.
She was preceded in death by her soulmate, J.W. Knight; parents; daughters, Sandra Stephens, and Sherry Eiseman; brothers, Jessie Church, and Walter Church; sister-in-law, Barbara Church; daughter-in-law, Nadine Moore; niece, Carolyn Savery; and father of her children, Gene Moore.
Pallbearers will be Joe Cole, Mark Church, Mason Cole, Randy Green, and Billy Gilstrap.
The family would like to give thanks to Diboll Nursing and Affinity Hospice for there care and support.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home .
