Sue Monk, 94, passed peacefully on May 9, 2022 in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born on January 17, 1928 in Ballinger, Texas. Her parents were Joe and Thelma Hinds. Sue is survived by her loving husband, Richard Bartlett, her daughter Suzanne Villanueva, her son Craig Monk and wife Carolyn. She leaves a legacy of 9 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 1 Niece, 1 Nephew, 2 Great Nieces, 1 Great Nephew and several Great/Great nieces and nephews and numerous friends and caregivers. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Thelma Hinds, her sister Jean Palermo and brother-in-law Bill Palermo, and her son Joe Harris Monk. Sue lived life fully, she was a successful entrepreneur and owner of Sue Monk Wholesale Floral Supply for 30 years. She was a pioneer in a time when women rarely ran and owned businesses. Even though she was busy she always made time for her family. If she saw a need she met it. She generously shared her time and possessions. Later in her life she met the love of her life Richard. They enjoyed traveling, laughing and being together every day. She was loved by all of us and will be missed! Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery
