Steven J. Zielinski, 83, of Allenstown died unexpectedly at Concord Hospital on April 26, 2022. Steve was born in Manchester on May 16, 1938, the son of Albert Zielinski and Frances( Zyma) Zielinski. Steve grew up and attended schools in Manchester, graduating from Central High School in 1956. He served his country in the Unites States Marine Corps Reserve before becoming an Ironworker until his retirement. He married his late wife, Valerie (Wolf) Zielinski in 1968 together they raised their daughter Diane. Steve was a long time member of the Deerhead Sportsmen's Club. Steve loved his grandchildren very much. He attended all of their sports games. Whether they were right down the street or three hours away, he could always be found in the stands cheering them on. He spent his summers in Wells, Maine, where he could be found soaking up the sun, talking to his friends and sitting by the campfire surrounded by those who loved him. He is described by those close to him as the most kindhearted, selfless and loving person. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Steve is survived by his daughter, Diane Berube and her husband Donald, his grandson Nicholas Berube and his granddaughter Stephanie Berube all of Pembroke, his sister Joan Cornell of Hartford, VT, his brother Walter Zielinski of Manchester, his close friend Beverly McPherson of Pepperell, MA as well as many nieces and nephews. A Calling hour will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 9:00 AM at Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester, Street, Manchester. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Parish, 147 Walnut Street, Manchester (corner of Beech and Orange).
