Steven T. Carlson, 68, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at his home in Davenport, FL. He was born on March 16, 1951 in Jamestown, New York. The only son of late Carol and Elmer Carlson. He graduated from Jamestown High School, class of 1969. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Athens, Ohio and was also a graduate of JCC. Since retiring as an electrician at Cummins Engine in 2001, he lived in various states, including Arizona, Tennessee, Nevada, and Florida. Steve is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy Kennedy-Carlson, his 2 sisters Candy Joslyn and Jill Gass of St Petersburg, Florida, daughter Jessica (Carlson) Slack of Tampa Florida, step children Joey Running of Oregon, James Bretz of Washington and his grandchildren Tegan and Colton Running and Madison and Landon Steven Slack. He loved the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, classic rock music, his convertible, his cats, and the lifelong friendships he made. His friends and family hosted a celebration of his life in Tampa, Florida and will continue to remember him every time they crank up a good tune, or tip back a "cold one."
