Steven Parley Marler, 66 of Chester, passed away Saturday July 24, 2021 surrounded by his children after his battle with Lung Cancer.
Steve was born April 17, 1955 in Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, WA, to Francis D Marler and Mona Lawan Ririe Marler.
Steve was the 3rd of 7 boys. As a child the family moved a lot, living in San Diego, Salt Lake City and Taylorsville. They moved to Ririe when Steve was in the 6th grade. He attended Ririe High School where he lettered in football and graduated in 1973. Right out of High School Steve joined and served in the US Army for two and a half years. He worked construction jobs of all types. He worked for H&K, Gordon Paving and always enjoyed working outside.
Steve married the love of his life Delana Robertson on July 27, 1979 in Ririe, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together they raised their family in Egin, Idaho and later moved to Teton, Idaho.
He is survived by his children, Ken (Georgina) Marler of Teton, ID; Lisa (Rob) Anglesey of Chester, ID; Jennifer (Zac) Walker of Idaho Falls, ID; Kevfin (Kylie) Marler of St. Anthony, ID; Kyle (Fallon) Marler of St. Anthony, ID Benjamin Orr of Idaho Falls, ID; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; His mother Mona Lawan Marler of Idaho Falls, ID; Siblings, Brian Marler, Montana; Richard & Merna Marler of Rigby, ID; Bruce & Becfky Marler of Rigby, ID; and Scott & Ann Marler of Burgettstown, PA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 20021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Teton LDS Chapel with Bishop Chuck Hansen of the Chester Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Teton Church Monday from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. and again Tuesday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. also at the Teton Chapel. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery with military rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to help with final expenses.
