Steve Hughes, age 60, of Milledgeville, Georgia, formerly of Snellville, Georgia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 7, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Johnson Hughes; Steve's beloved two daughters & sons-in-law, Amanda & Stephen Dunn and Brittni & Thomas Sherrill; son, Michael Johnson and Amber Woodruff; four loving grandsons, Gavin Sherrill, Grant Sherrill, Landon Dunn and Caden Johnson; loving granddaughter, Emily Dunn all of Covington, GA; devoted and loving parents, Rev. Kenneth R. & Betty (Beaver) Hughes of Snellville, GA; nephew, Josh and Stefanie Strange of Snellville, GA; and mother-in-law, Charlotte Smith of Milledgeville, GA. The Service Honoring the Life of Steve Hughes will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, with Pastor John Milam and Pastor Lori Milam officiating. Interment will follow at Lenora Baptist Church Cemetery with his father, Rev. Kenneth R. Hughes, handling the Committal Service. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. You can view the service, which will be livestreamed, either by going to the Tom M. A Memorial Service will held be on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at Steve's beloved church, New Life Ministries, 385 Log Cabin Rd. NE, Milledgeville, GA 31061 (478-452-2052), with Pastor John Milam and Pastor Lori Milam. Flowers are accepted, but Steve would want for Memorial Gifts to be made towards his "End of Life Wishes" with the funeral home for the benefit of his beloved family or to his beloved church, New Life Ministries, in memory of Steve Hughes. The COVID-19 regulations will allow 70 people to attend the service at Tom M. Wages which includes the family members and close family friends.
