Mr. Sterlin Lawrence Bryant, age 62 of Gilmer, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 in a Tyler hospital. Sterlin was born in Santa Ana, California on April 27, 1958 to Robert L. Bryant and Joyce Ann (Baker) Bryant. He was a graduate of Deer Park High School, Class of 76, and attended San Jacinto College. He worked as a Production Supervisor for Akzo Nobel Chemical, retiring after 36 years. He was a member of the Deer Park Masonic Lodge #1362, AF&AM, a Shriner, and a member of New Beginnings Baptist ChurchHe is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Ann (Baker) Bryant. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cynthia "Cindy" (Manuel) Bryant of Deer Park; father, Robert Bryant of Deer Park; son, Nicholas Bryant of Deer Park; daughter, Natalie Ann Schietzelt and husband Bill of Houston; brother, Randy Bryant and wife Antoinette of Huffman; sister, Cynthia Dawn Bryant of Deer Park; grandchildren, Brendyn Schietzelt, Kalee Schietzelt, Madison Schietzelt, Savanna Schietzelt, and Wyatt Schietzelt. Funeral services to Celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in the Chapel at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer; Richard Spruiell officiating; private interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pritchett; with Bill Schietzelt, Stephen Bryant, Jonathan Bryant, Ricky Drennan, J.D. Stanley, and Matthew C. Baker acting as pallbearers.
