STEPHEN L. "STEVE" STEINBACHER, 70, of Grabill, Ind., passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Born May 30, 1952, in Fort Wayne, Stephen was a son of the late Harvey and Lucille Steinbacher. He worked for more than 40 years at Lutheran Hospital in a number of different ways. In his free time, he loved to go fishing. He will be remembered as a very kind person and a regular at the Harlan Caf‚. Surviving family include his siblings, William Steinbacher, Sharon Harter and RoseAnn Hinkle; along with his beloved dog, Skeeter. Memorial service is 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 State Road 37, Harlan, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Countryside Church of Christ.
