Stephen Maxwell Patterson, age 71, passed away on April 4, 2022 in Naples, Florida surrounded by his family. Steve was the former President, Chief Executive Officer of Leisure Arts, a publishing and direct mail company. Steve served as vice chairman of the board of trustees of Hendrix College and also served on the board of directors of Acxiom Corporation, Worthen Bank and its successor, Bank of America-Arkansas. Steve held a bachelor's degree from Hendrix College and an electrical engineering degree and an MBA from Columbia University. An avid collector, car enthusiast, and hobbyist, Steve lived a life filled with things that he loved. Family was the most important thing to Steve. He was so proud of his children and delighted in the antics of his grandchildren. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 48 years, Jan; his son, Keath and his wife Jen and their two children - Ava Delaney and Nate Patterson; his daughter Stephanie and her husband Robert and their three children - Maxwell, Spencer and Samantha Brown; and his brother, John and his wife Cara Patterson. May we all strive to live by the principles that guided Steve's life, "work hard and be kind."
