Stephen Michael Kurpe, age 80, of Clearwater, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at home with his family by his side
Steve was born on September 9, 1942 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to Freda and Steve Kurpe. Steve graduated from Brookfield High School and attended Youngstown University.
Steve married Jacqueline Davis on January 26, 1963. He had had a long career as a business owner and mortgage broker. Steve owned a successful beauty supply company, Superior Beauty Supply and established the mortgage division for Eastside Bank.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Snellville, Georgia and was an active member of Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church.
Above all, his wife, his daughters and seven grandchildren were the love and passion of his life.
Steve is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jacqueline Kurpe. His daughters and son in laws; Lorri and Michael Short of Tallahassee, Florida. Tammi and Paul Miller of Westfield, Indiana, and Traci and Tommy Yawn of Cordele, Georgia. Grandchildren; Stephen Paul Miller, Jacqueline Ann Yawn, Mikayla Maureen Miller, Jessica Leigh Miller, Davis Michael Short, Chase Erwin Yawn, and Logan Michael Short.
A graveside service for Steve will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774.
