Stephen Charles Hamel, 86, of Nettles Island, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, under the loving care of Treasure Coast Hospice. Stephen was born in Boston, MA and retired to Jensen Beach, FL.
Survivors include his sons Steve (Debbie)Hamel of Jupiter, FL, Brian (Peggy) Hamel of Roswell, GA, Barry Hamel of Decatur, GA and Jon Hamel of Stuart, FL; Eight grandchildren, Megan Crook, Stephen Hamel, Melissa Ivie, Christopher Hamel, Elizabeth Hamel, Catherine Hamel, Kaylyn Hamel and Faith Hamel; four great-grandchildren and counting; and brother Bill Hamel of Marietta, GA. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Lee Hamel.
Visitation will be held at Martin Funeral Home, 961 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A Mass will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10:00 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 1200 SE 10th Street, Stuart, FL.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in loving memory of Stephen's honor can be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
