Stephen D. Garner "Steve", went to be with his heavenly Father August 3, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl D. and Helen Whitt Garner. He is survived by his wife Luanne Garner, son Dwight Garner, daughter Lucinda "Lucie" Garner, grandson Paxton Garner, brother Robert Garner, nieces Leanne, Janice, and two great nieces. He served in the Coast Guard from 1972-1976, went to college, owned a deli and for the next twenty years was a long-haul truck driver until he became disabled.
the family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13th from 6:00-8:00pm at Rose Funeral & Cremation-Mann 6200 Kingston Pike. Family and friends will gather at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy on Wednesday, August 14th at 12:30pm for Interment.
