Stephen was born in Spartanburg on November 14, 1948, a son of Betty Jo Roper Crosby and the late Robert Leon Crosby. He pastored the following churches: Bethlehem Baptist Church, Round O, Calvary Baptist Church, Pregnall, Old St. George Baptist Church, St. George and Bethel Baptist Church, Walterboro. Stephen was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather for almost 50 years. He served in the ministry for 45 years and his passion for sharing the gospel shined through to all he came in contact with. His patriotism, work ethic, and overall character was second to none. The void he leaves behind is irreplaceable but the legacy he created will impact the world for generations to come.
