Mrs. Starr M. (Halvorsen) Hartle, 60, passed away suddenly on April 29, 2021 while moving back to Epsom from Dallas, TX.
Born in Woodsville, Starr was the beloved daughter of Theodore "Ted" Halvorsen of Epsom and the late Jean (Ricard) Halvorsen. She was raised and educated in New Hampshire and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy Class of 1978.
Following graduation, Starr enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served her country until her honorable discharge. At that time, she went to work for the New Hampshire National Guard as a front-office computer specialist.
Starr had been a resident of Texas for the past 21 years and was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation serving in West Virginia and Texas. She was the "jack of all trades" and served as a Support Aide to Agents, conducted background checks, was keeper of records as well as a database creator. Service was paramount in her life.
Starr enjoyed crafts of all kinds, including cross-stitching, crocheting, ceramics, painting and wreath making. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and crosswords. Above all else, she loved her children and grandchildren tremendously.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brother, Scott Halvorsen.
In addition to her father, Starr is survived by her beloved husband of 21 years, Robert Hartle; her two daughters: Crystal Smith and her husband John Michael and Sonja Hardesty and her husband Christopher all of Fairmont, WV. She was the loving grandmother to Hannah and Evan Smith and Addisyn Hardesty. She was the sister of Stephen Halvorsen and his wife Ann of Ocala, FL and Ronald Halvorsen and his wife Debra of Litchfield. She is also survived by numerous friends and extended family.
Gravesides Services with Military Honors will be held on Monday, May 17th at 1:30 P.M. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. All attendees are kindly asked to wear face-coverings.
