Stanley Theodore Duckworth, 96, of Middletown, Indiana passed away surrounded by his family at his residence in Middletown following an extended illness. He was born on May 25, 1928 in Trenton, Nebraska to Benjamin Duckworth and Metta (Frye) Duckworth.
He graduated from Trenton High School and immediately went to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy serving as a WWII Veteran. After discharging from the Navy, he attended the business college and worked for many years for Western Electric now known as AT&T Telephone company.
Stan was an active member for many years with the American Legion and Amvets. He loved woodworking and gardening, while tending to many different flowers. Stan was the biggest and most extreme Kansas City Chiefs fan. Most of all, he loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Alvin) Teegarden; Grandchildren, Megan (Brady) Fraley, Holly (Chris) Powell, Hilary Tyler, Savannah (Brad) Whitlock, Clinton (Samantha) Teegarden, Donna (Hans Frakenda) Teegarden, Heather Bassett, and Raechel Duckworth. Stan is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents; Spouses, Anna Hodson, Joanne Felker, and Evelyn Bowen; Sons, Thomas and David Duckworth; Granddaughter, Heather Teegarden.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 12:00pm -1:00pm at Bozell Funeral Homes, Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 East 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
A graveside service will follow visitation at approximately 1:15pm at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Danny Douglas will be officiating and Military Honors will be conducted.
