COTTAGE GROVE - After a long battle with mental illness, Stacy Lynn Wilcox, age 49, of Cottage Grove, passed away on her own terms on Saturday, June 18, 2022. She was born on Sept. 20, 1972, in Madison, the daughter of Terry and Deborah (Friede) Wilcox.
Stacy graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1990 and worked in Cottage Grove the majority or her life. She grew up around horses and loved them and the Milwaukee Brewers. She preferred pickup trucks over cars and was always happy and energetic and an overall joy to be around.
Stacy is survived by her daughter and the light of her life, Katelyn Doyle of Dubuque, Iowa and Katelyn’s father, Matthew (Gayle) Doyle of Belleville; parents, Terry and Debbie Wilcox; brother, Kurt Wilcox; and nephew, all of Cottage Grove.
