Soveida Saldana Longoria, born in Raymondville, Texas on October 17, 1938, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
Loved by all, Soveida enjoyed volunteering her time to help others. She was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 390. She loved to dance and enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends. Her faith and love will remain within us all forever.
She is survived by her children, Ernesto Trevino (Lori), Elizabeth Bishop (Sonny), and Eduardo (Zulema) Trevino, brothers, Fred Saldana, Felipe Saldana, Robert Saldana, and Jesse Saldana, sisters, Senovia Martinez, Sylvia Schollmeyer, and Sadie Ibarra, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and Joyce Trevino, whom she loved like a daughter. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Trevino Rivera.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held today, Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral procession will follow to her final place of rest in the Raymondville Memorial Park Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by The American Legion Post 390 and The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 390.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Daniel Bishop, Jason Kilgore, Tony Esquivel, Christian Esquivel, Riley Sauceda, and Zachary Sauceda.
