Shirley Ann Tollefson passed away peacefully on November 24, 2022, in Burlington, WA. Shirley was born on August 30, 1935. She was the youngest of a trio of sisters. She graduated from Nooksach High School. Shirley then went to school and graduated from Seattle Pacific. After graduating, Shirley became a full-time Teacher of the 4th grade. When parenthood arrived in 1965, she became a full-time Housewife to raise the children. In retirement, she founded Love, Inc (In the Name of Christ) of Skagit County. Her efforts have positively affected thousands of people in the local area. Shirley had many hobbies including teaching piano, choir leader in numerous churches, and playing tennis. She loved trekking the tracks with family and traveling through Israel and Turkey with John. Shirley and John have visited every US State as they both had a love of seeing the world and its noticeable sites. Shirley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Julie Tollefson, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Christ the King Church, Burlington, WA on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 10:00am. A funeral service will be held at Christ the King Church, Burlington, WA on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:00am with a graveside service to follow at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, along with her husband, John, of 61 years.
