Help us celebrate Shirley! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Shirley.
In the stillness of the moon light in the early morning of July 10, 2022, an angel of the lord came and took her hand and the glorious promise of faith becoming sight began with her flight home.
Shirley Lee Lebo was born to Sylvia Stephenson and Elmer Stephenson on November 25, 1931. She was the youngest of 3 daughters and was raised in Plainfield, Indiana and a graduate of Plainfield High School, Class of 1949. She was married for 25 years to Elder Billy Gordon Adamson until his death in 1976 and to this union was born 4 children. She was blessed to meet Orval Jean Lebo and they were married for 25 years until his death in 2007. Shirley was a member of the Outreach Missionary Baptist Church and had been a faithful member and loved attending services and singing the songs of Zion. She had a sparkling personality that attracted and set at ease all those she met. She loved the Lord most of all and would tell you about her experience of salvation "that will take me to heaven one day". All the way to the end of her life she was concerned with family and friends who did not have that assurance of salvation resting in their hearts and prayed for them to "seek and find the Lord" before it was too late. Shirley has now laid down her cross and has finished her course and those that were around her will cherish her memory and miss the beautiful light she reflected from Christ in this world. Preceding her in death were siblings: Betty Bailey and Melba Squires, Daughter: Rebecca Parker. She leaves behind, Daughter: Beth Ann Boling, Sons: Brent Wayne Adamson and Bruce Gordon Adamson with 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints" Psalms 116:15. May the Lord uphold us all who suffer loss with this passing and find comfort in the same arms that carried her home on the wings of the morning.
