Shirley Rosler, age 79, of Gadsden, AL passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial was held on Monday, December 21, 2020 in the Sullivan Cemetery in Monroe County, MS.
Shirley was born on September 30, 1941 in Hamilton, MS to the late Leamon Weston "Bill" Sutton and the late Roburtia "Bertie" Sutton Redin. She attended Elston High School in Michigan City, IN where she graduated in 1959. Shirley retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1996 after 24 years as a rural mail carrier. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and crafting. She loved the holidays and for over the last 35 years, made ornaments to share with family and friends at Christmas. She also collected gifts throughout the year to give to children. She loved the mountains, fall leaves, waterfalls, covered bridges, and to travel. She loved her daughter Celeste, her grandson Adam, her dog Sweetie, and would talk about them any chance she would get to anyone who would listen.
Shirley was a loving and generous person who was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
