Funeral service for Shirley Blackburn, 82, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:30PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Elwyn Marcus Gipson Chapel of Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Blackburn was born March 23, 1942 in Malakoff, Texas, daughter of the late Naomi (Ford) and Murray Noble. She passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 in the Southland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include husband, George Blackburn of Lufkin; children, Carol Blackburn of Diboll, Joe Blackburn and wife, Debra of Lufkin, and Georgia Beam of Lufkin; grandchildren, Tony Beam II and wife Maddie, Tanya Scott and husband, Kevin, David Weatherly, Brandon Weatherly, and Cory Penick; great-grandchildren, Briana Scott, Nathan Scott, Emily Scott, and Dylan Scott; sisters-in-law, Linda Noble, Marie Noble, and Mary Blackburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents; sister, Loretta Noble; brothers, Murray Irvin Noble, Jr. and Richard Noble; and son-in-law, Tony Beam.
Pallbearers will be Tony Beam II, David Weatherly, Brandon Weatherly, Kevin Scott, Robert Raines, and Charles Raines.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Blackburn.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
