Shirley Goodwin of Farmers Branch passed away on 6/22/2021 in her home after one last RV trip with her son, Gene. She was able to see her son, Charles and family at Lake DeGray, AR. one last time. Born, 4/25/1940 in Greenville, TX. Shirley earned her Masters Degree from SMU and obtained her CPA. She worked for Fast*Tax until her retirement. Her husband/life partner Bud, (William R. Johnson) preceded her in death 5/27/2021 after thirty plus years together. They enjoyed many travels in their RV. Mother enjoyed nature, quilting/sewing, reading, especially USA history and her gardens. She leaves her sons and family to cherish her, Gene Goodwin (Plano), Charles (Edie), MIL, Helen Mezei and grandsons, Caleb (Memphis, TN) and Spencer (Natchitoches, LA). Cousin, Michelle Taylor.
Also her step sisters and brother and family friend, Kay Shepard that has helped tremendously with Bud & Shirley.They and others kept a close ties as they worked for Fast*Tax. In lieu of flowers the family request that you consider memorial donations to American Heart Association (Shirley) and Kidney Society (Bud).
