CONROE FUNERAL DIRECTORS
Graveside service for Sheryl Wilson Holbrook, 81, of Conroe, Texas will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Miller officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Conroe Funeral Directors.
Sheryl was born on June 15, 1943, in Atlanta, Georgia to James and Sara Wilson and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Conroe, Texas.
Sheryl is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry Holbrook; daughter, Michelle Lawrence and husband, Mark; son, Jeff Holbrook; grandchildren, Scott Lawrence and wife, Haylee, Stacy Keehn and husband, Ryan, Cody Holbrook and wife, Lauren and Marissa Conley and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Shantel, Melanie, Ayla, Danielle and Walker; brothers-in-law, Ronald Holbrook, and Roger Holbrook; and sister-in-law, Tina Holbrook. Many other dear relatives and caring friends also survive.
Sheryl and her husband Jerry are longtime residents of Conroe. She might have been born in Atlanta but could not make it to Texas fast enough! Sheryl was a homemaker who cherished her family and adored her grandchildren. She was also an avid reader and loved animals so much that she was known to have taken in strays that needed extra love. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4709 and enjoyed volunteering. Her sweet smile and kind disposition will be sorely missed.
Pallbearers include Jeff Holbrook, Mark Lawrence and Scott Lawrence, Kyle Fred and Dave Mires.
